CornerBoyz · Player Manual
Guide status: October 17, 2026. This describes the beta code. The page published through 54 may be one version behind.
The game's current controls and buttons are still displayed in Spanish. The English button names in this guide describe their function; use the Spanish labels shown in the game until its interface is translated.
What you do in CornerBoyz
Choose a place on Earth, explore a block world based on mapped streets, terrain and building footprints, gather materials, claim available plots and build. Nearby areas load as you move. Your account saves confirmed progress; your browser keeps a local copy for faster loading.
Plots and buildings are in-game property. A claim does not grant real estate rights or permission to enter a real building. The view is illustrative, and map detail varies by area.
Getting started
- Select Play free or Enter.
- Use your location, search for a city, or enter latitude and longitude. You can play without granting GPS permission.
- Confirm your email with an access code to save shared actions, CANDY and property.
- Choose a name, colors and a role. Your origin is permanent; the name and role have change periods.
- Wait for the area's status before spending CANDY. Streets, buildings and plots may load separately.
When you return, resume your world or revisit an explored area. Start over resets the local copy; it does not erase server-confirmed balance or property.
Roles
| Role | Advantage shown in the game |

| Miner | Get 50% more materials from deposits. |
| Merchant | Earn 50% more CANDY from posts. |
| Guardian | Hold 11 plots instead of 10. |
Movement and controls

The top buttons open CANDY (C), Workshop (I), Market (O), Properties (P) and Works (B). Exit opens your profile, where you can return to the world. Camera mode overlays game graphics on a device camera when supported; it does not verify physical presence.
Plots, buildings and construction
An available plot is land the server permits you to claim. Streets, water, protected areas and recognized building footprints cannot be claimed as ordinary plots. The game shows the CANDY cost before the claim; the server checks your balance and plot limit again when you confirm.
A mapped building footprint has a different process:
- Approach and select the footprint.
- Mark and inspect costs 1 CANDY on the first mark only. It saves the identified area and shows a construction cost. Looking at an existing mark again is free. A mark does not award or build the property.
- Review the address, value source, CANDY cost and your balance. In New York City the reference is an official tax valuation, not a sale price. Elsewhere, when no verifiable appraisal exists, the construction cost is an in-game price derived from footprint area and height.
- If you can afford it and the building remains available, select Build. The server charges once and records the work. If another player built it first, no construction charge is made.
A completed building appears as an approximate volume based on the available footprint and height. Real facades and interiors are not reproduced yet. Cut, overlapping or ambiguous footprints cannot be marked or charged. If an area has no mapped buildings, you can still explore and build on valid plots.
You can place and remove inventory blocks on your own plot. Account actions are validated and saved by the server. If saving fails, check the plot and inventory before retrying.
Materials, workshop and chest
Nearby posts and deposits yield materials and, for some actions, CANDY. For deposit extraction, press Extract when the moving circle meets the ring. A resource already collected by your account is marked as collected when you return. Daily limits and cooldowns prevent unlimited collection.
The Workshop makes persistent stone pickaxes, axes and shovels from inventory materials. Each improves collection of certain blocks. Your personal chest stores and returns chosen material quantities. Special finds appear in your profile collection and do not themselves mint extra CANDY.
CANDY and the economy
CANDY is the in-game currency. Your account starts with a balance; confirmed rewards, purchases, claims, flights and construction appear in a transaction ledger. The Candy button shows circulation and the number of accounts with a balance according to the server. Properties and your profile show your balance and movements.
A quoted cost is not a completed payment. Buying from another player transfers CANDY; fees and certain expenses remove it from circulation. Prices and incentives still need calibration with more real player activity.
The CANDY chain (same as Bitcoin)
Once the chain is turned on, CANDY follows Bitcoin's rules unchanged:
- A cap of 21,000,000 CANDY. Never one more.
- One block every 10 minutes. Each block appears in a real city of the world, near streets, as a golden cube on the map. The first player to reach it and step on it mines it.
- A 50 CANDY reward, cut in half every 210,000 blocks (25, 12.5…), just like Bitcoin. The miner also takes the fees: what people spent on parcels, flights, construction, taxes and market fees since the previous block. Nothing is burned.
- It's the only way new CANDY appears. The welcome grant, daily reward, posts, veins, achievements and parcel yield stop paying CANDY (veins and posts still give materials). A new account starts at 0.
- Satoshi's fund. The first 22,000 blocks (1,100,000 CANDY, minus what was already circulating when the chain was turned on) can't be mined: they are set aside. The richest 10% of the world (CANDY plus the value of their buildings and parcels) manages it and decides what to do with it when issuance ends.
"Near you" lists nearby blocks with their number and reward. You need to be within 40 m of a block to mine it.
Market, property and travel
In Market, list inventory materials with a quantity and CANDY price, browse offers and buy from other accounts. Listed materials leave your inventory and are reserved for the offer. Properties brings together plots, buildings, marks and transactions, with sale or rental actions where available.
You can walk between adjacent windows of the continuous world. The airport is a separate feature for the original neighborhoods: fares depend on distance and flights have a cooldown. Flights between any two arbitrary planetary points are not available.
The text radio announces supported flights and server-confirmed construction. Sound is optional and starts muted.
Profile, wallet and guide
Your profile shows identity, balance, visited areas, confirmed property, inventory and transactions. Linking a wallet uses a signature to prove control; it does not move funds. Choose a specific NFT from the ten supported collections with “Use NFT”. Its image appears in your profile and, pixelated, on your character for nearby players. “Save PDF sheet” opens a printable page with that token's image. The server checks ownership and issues a short-lived proof before other players display it. If you no longer hold the NFT, the next check removes the image. On mobile, if no wallet is detected, the profile offers a link to open CornerBoyz inside MetaMask; sign in to your CornerBoyz account again there. It does not change CANDY or property. The image is a plane in the game, not a reconstructed volumetric 3D body.
The floating Guide answers questions about rules and nearby account data. Balance, costs and ownership should come from the server; the chat cannot spend CANDY. Check a fact in the relevant panel before acting if its source is unclear.
If something is missing
- No buildings: this area may lack mapped footprints, or its data may have failed to load. Read the coverage notice, try another area and reload.
- Plots keep loading: wait for the area status or reload. Check balance and property before repeating a payment.
- A paid building is not visible: inspect Properties and transactions, then re-enter the area to request its building data again.
- Balance differs: trust the server-confirmed balance and ledger over an older browser copy.
- No email code: check the address and spam folder, then request another code.
Known beta limits
Street, height, terrain and building coverage varies worldwide. Completed buildings use approximate envelopes. Browser location does not prove physical presence. The economy has too few players to be considered calibrated. The complete two-account, two-device public flow still needs verification.
